Help the University of Birmingham co-design research on dissociation!
The team are a group of researchers from the University of Birmingham and University of York. They are looking for four people with lived experience of dissociation to provide feedback and ideas on a research project they are developing. The project uses interviews to understand people’s experience of dissociation and runs tests of thinking abilities (such as memory and confidence) to study how thinking styles influence dissociation.
Your involvement:
Two weeks before the meeting, they will send the project summary and some questions on what you thought about it. You will spend one hour reading these and thinking about the questions before you meet with them.
In the meeting, you will discuss the questions and any other points. This will last two hours with a break.
Benefits:
You will receive £82.50 for taking part and £5 for Wi-Fi costs, for a total of £87.50. You will also shape the questions they ask, how they represent dissociation, and how they include lived experience in the future.
You must be:

Have lived experience of long-term depersonalisation and/or derealisation (no diagnoses required)
Live in the UK
Be comfortable reading and speaking English and communicating in a small group
