INDIVIDUAL DIFFERENCES IN ATTACHMENT, ADVERSE CHILDHOOD EXPERIENCES AND MENTAL HEALTH
This study is looking to recruit candidates aged over 18 to investigate the connection between difficult or stressful experiences in childhood and symptoms of Depersonalisation-Derealisation Disorder (DDD). They aim to find out if growing up with a higher number of significant childhood stressors makes a person more likely to experience severe symptoms of feeling unreal or detached later in life.
If you decide to partake in this study, you will be asked to complete a 15-20 minute online survey. This survey is made up of two standardised tests, one to measure depersonalisation and derealisation, and another to measure adverse childhood experiences.
This project has been reviewed on behalf of the University of Essex and has been given approval with the following Application ID: ETH2526-0113.
